About Mew
It all started in the Spring of 2019, when a few local girls said โWe can do thisโ and had the passion and drive to take a risk. We werenโt new to rescue, but we had never embarked on something quite this big. The impact of the decision we made that day is witnessed in the 4000 plus cats we have helped since opening our virtual doors.
To help us start off on the right paw, we had a great team of volunteers and fosters ready to take those first few cats and support our effort.ย
We knew that we wanted Mew to be something different. A modern rescue, open to new ideas and new ways of operating in animal welfare that challenge the status quo. That paid off to help us quickly become one of the largest and most popular rescues in NWA.

Mew loves pairing the things we enjoy with cats!ย We host lots of events in the local community includingย Yoga with Kittens, Bingo and Trivia at the Bentonville Brewery. We host kitten purr party adoption events at Petco as well as bottle feeding classes. See more about our events and how to get involved, we would love to have you on the Mew Cew
What We Do
Intake Strays and Owner Surrenders
Mew fields at least 5 calls daily from the community to help stray cats and to help owners who need to surrender.
Foster Program
All Mew cats need a foster home to prepare them for adoption. Fostering a cat is saving a life! Mew does not have a physicak facility.ย
Mew Cares
Mew Cares provides financial assistance for vet care, and supplies for those in need. Our goal is keeping cat owners and families together.ย
Adoption
Adoption is the goal! We make sure that an adopter and the cat are both matched perfectly for a lasting successful relationship.

Mew Cares
Mew Cares is a program to help YOU, the community. No one in Northwest Arkansas should havde to give up their pet, or allow a cat to suffer unnecsarily without food and proper vet treament. Thatโs where Mew Cares comes in!
Crisis Management and Education
NWA is in several crisisโ we plan to tackle this year. In short TNR and affordable spay/neuter must occur to stop overpopulation,ย tackling the housing crisis and surrenders, and educating to adopt locally. We need your help so please join us!
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
